The Best Meatloaf Ever

I am privy to an amazing meatloaf recipe, it was handed down to me from my mother-in-law and it makes amazing meatballs too.  You should probably double it because it disappears quickly!  Both my kids and my husband love this.

1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1 egg
1 Tbsp dried onion flakes
1 Tbsp ketchup
1/2 cup oatmeal
Garlic powder
2 Tbsp milk

Mix well, form a loaf or meatballs and put on pan

The Sauce

1/2 cup Ketchup
3 Tbsp mustard
1/3 cup brown sugar
Mix well and pour on top of the meat

Bake at 350 for 45 minutes to 1 hr, only 30 minutes if they are meatballs

OMG, This is so crazy because just like four days ago I was telling my mom that I wanted to make some meatloaf and I was going to ask her how to make it. And then you post this. wow. Well guess I will try your recipe and hers :)

    Thanks for this.

Sounds great! I always double when making meatloaf and freeze an uncooked loaf.

I’m thinking about getting a freezer chest so I can freeze more meals. i just cook often now, I think we’re having spagetti tonight. I’ve lined up a babysitter for the kids and am going to Happy Hour with my husband and his co-workers. I never know what drink to order.

Oh, have fun on your date. DId you know that there are almost zero carbs in a Bacardi and Diet Coke? At that rate, you could have … a few!

That is what I usually order, I can’t believe you said that…I’ve always thought it wasn’t sophisticated enough but I order it anyway, no fru-fru drinks for me:)
i had no idea how many calories were in it though, I assumed at least 100 for the rum

Well if you order it with a lime that totally classes it up :-) The calories are about 100.

Oh well, that’s easy enough to do. When I was younger I would fast all day and run three miles before getting ready for a date, that’s changed to soup and walking 4 miles with an exercise video. I think I’ll wear my dark pink dress, gray leggings, gray sweater, brown boots, brown belt.
