Thankfulness Is The Key To A Happy Marriage

Today I’m thankful for…

waking to snuggles and giggles from my 2 yr old…please don’t let her grow out of this stage.

Good-bye kisses that make me want to pull him under the covers with me and make him late to work.

Coffee and bacon does breakfast get any better than that?

January has been kinder to my waistline than December!

My 7 yr old trying to convince me that she doesn’t need to homeschool because she misses her boyfriend from public school.

A good friend who agrees to watch my kids last minute for a dentist appointment I’ve known about for weeks.

Pretty time to God-music to get my thoughts and eyes focused on Him.

High heel leather boots from a second hand store that are a size and a half too big, but are perfect anyway. extra socks are a good thing in the winter, right?

No cavities!

Chatting with a good friend

Baby falling asleep on the ride home

Husband stealing kids from me and making them laugh and laugh

Funny internet cartoons

Wonderful internet friends who seem to like me.

Warm home

Husband putting cat out and changing dirty diapers

And if someone had asked you at the start of he day, “What would it take to make today a good day for you,” how many of those would have been on the list? Isn’t it interesting how it really is about the little things.

Sounds like you are in a good place with some nice things happening. Good for you for appreciating.

That’s awesome.:) I’ve been convicted to be more grateful and use it to combat my grumbling attitude. Whenever I’m tempted to grumble about my everyday tasks I’ve been trying to stop myself and give thanks for my family. My family is a huge blessing (of course) and I want to care for them with joy. :) My husband too. ;)

Your list is awesome, and so similar to one I would have written. I try and be thankful everyday for the fortune that has smiled on me and my family. I’m truly blessed and it’s the little things (and being thankful for those) that really makes life so enjoyable. Oh, and totally agree with enjoying kids when they’re so innocent and haven’t yet become serious to the ways of the world. Try to enjoy that since they’ll be grown up before we know it!
